Occupational Therapy

Getting You Back to “You”

Has an illness or injury made everyday activities (occupations) more difficult? Then you may benefit from occupational therapy. McKenzie Health System’s occupational therapy services help you do the things you want and need to do in everyday life. We work with patients of all ages. Your occupational therapist will bring a holistic perspective to your care that focuses on adapting the environment to fit you and your rehabilitation needs.

From providing support for adapting to physical and cognitive changes to assistance in the recovery process and regaining skills, our therapists are there for you. McKenzie Occupational Therapists provide a comprehensive evaluation of the home and other environments (e.g., workplace), recommend adaptive equipment, provide training in its use, and give guidance and instruction to family members and caregivers.

Occupational therapists help those diagnosed with:

  • CVA/stroke
  • Nerve laceration/impingement
  • Fractures
  • Medial and lateral epicondylitis
  • Rheumatoid and osteoarthritis
  • Hand and wrist injuries
