Vitamins Take Center Stage at August 21 Lunch & Learn

Suzette Walker

McKenzie Health System is pleased to welcome Suzette Walker, DNP, FNP-BC, AOCNP, Family Nurse Practitioner at McKenzie Health and Wellness Center, as the featured speaker at the August Lunch & Learn Workshop. Dr. Walker will present “Vitamins and Supplements-What Matters Most”, at the workshop scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from Noon to 1 p.m., in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room. Lunch & Learn is a community education series held every third Wednesday of the month. The cost for the workshops is $5 and lunch is included in the price. Pre-registration is required by calling 810-648-6117 or emailing publicrelations@mckenziehealth.org.

“There are so many vitamins and mineral supplements available now in the marketplace that it can be confusing!” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “Does the average person need to take supplements and, if so, which ones? Are there any side effects to vitamin and mineral supplements? Are supplements safe? These are just a few of the questions that will be answered at the Lunch & Learn Workshop on August 21.”

The class will be presented in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, and in an interactive format. “Plus,” Blasius shares, “class participants will have a delicious meal. What a great way to spend summer lunchtime!”

Blasius continues, “Because our dining room has limited seating, pre-registrations are required by calling 810-648-6117 or emailing publicrelations@mckenziehealth.org. We encourage people to reserve their space as soon as possible since this class is sure to be popular! You don’t want to miss it!”
