Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT)
ENT Care in Sandusky, Michigan
Healthcare professionals called otolaryngologists, better known as “ENTs,” are specialists who provide medical and surgical treatment for conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. These conditions can affect the patient’s ability to hear, speak, or breathe. Common problems our ENTs treat include difficulty swallowing, ear infections, sinusitis, oral lesions, dizziness, and hearing impairments.
ENT Services We Offer
Our ENT services include:
- Treatment of sinus disorders: The sinuses are a connected system of hollow areas within the skull. They serve to produce mucus to moisturize the inside of the nose. Sinusitis is a sinus disorder that can be allergic, chronic, or fungal in nature.
- Septoplasty: Deviated septa are very common. The septum is the division between the two nostrils, and septoplasty surgically corrects the problem if it is not straight.
- Ear disorders: The ears not only allow us to hear, but they also help us maintain our balance. Our ENTs treat chronic ear infections, earwax removal, and acute and chronic skin conditions.
- Tonsil and adenoid surgery: Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (T&A) are surgical procedures that remove both the tonsils and adenoids to correct co-occurring breathing and swallowing problems.
- Hearing evaluation: An ENT can examine you for hearing loss better than an audiologist, as well as prescribe beneficial medicine or recommend surgery if you have hearing loss related to calcified bones or benign tumors.
