McKenzie Health System welcomes Steve McKenney, Sanilac County Drug Task Force, to present “Meth and Other Drugs of Abuse in Sanilac County” at the September Healthy Lifestyle Workshop, scheduled for Monday, September 25, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room, 120 Delaware St., Sandusky. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.
“Illegal use of meth, as well as abuse of other drugs, is on the rise across the country and Sanilac County,” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “Not only is drug abuse up, but deaths from overdoses have increased dramatically as well. It’s important that Sanilac County residents familiarize themselves with the signs of drug use and overdose, so that steps can be taken to save lives. Officer McKenney will provide information and answer questions regarding this vitally important issue at the September 25 Healthy Lifestyle Workshop.”
“This adult only workshop will be presented in a relaxed, personal atmosphere, where audience members will feel free to ask questions,” adds Blasius. “We hope you will join us as we address this timely and critical topic!” For more information on the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127.
