McKenzie Health System’s Healthy Living Together Series Kicks Off 2025 with “Understanding Food Lingo”

Sanilac County, Mich. – McKenzie Health System is excited to kick off its 2025 Healthy Living Together series with the first event, “Understanding Food Lingo: GMO/non-GMO, Organic, Gluten-Free, Antioxidant, Probiotic, Prebiotic, Cage-Free.” The session will take place on January 15, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the McKenzie Dining Room, with a virtual attendance option available for those who prefer to join online.
This informative session will be led by Kris Kreiner, BS, RD, Registered Dietitian and Diabetes Quality Coordinator at McKenzie Health System. Kris will decode common food labels and terms to help attendees make informed choices when shopping and planning meals. From understanding what “organic” really means to exploring the benefits of probiotics, this presentation will empower participants to navigate today’s complex food landscape with confidence.
