New Peace of Mind Clinic at McKenzie Health System to Enhancing Behavioral Health

Sanilac County, Mich. – McKenzie Health System is excited to announce the opening of the Peace of Mind Clinic, located at the Sanilac Medical Plaza, 100 W. Argyle Street, Suite 1, Sandusky, MI 48471. The clinic, led by Brandy Trepkowski, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, a highly qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, is set to open its doors on October 1, 2024. The clinic will be open Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The Peace of Mind Clinic aims to bridge the gap in mental health care by offering comprehensive, compassionate, and accessible services to the community. This initiative addresses the current community challenges for mental health services with long wait times and the need for medication-prescribing providers. The Peace of Mind Clinic treats a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.

"Our goal is to provide mental health services to anyone in need, especially those who are not currently receiving care or are traveling for treatment," said Brandy Trepkowski, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC. "We offer diagnosis and medication treatment of mental health conditions for patients of all ages, ensuring they get the help they need."

Brandy Trepkowski’s journey into mental health care was driven by her experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, where she recognized a significant need for mental health services in the community. Her dedication to learning and passion for helping others led her to pursue further training in psychiatric mental health.

"This career path chose me. I saw more and more people with untreated conditions and realized there was a need I could fulfill," Trepkowski explained. "Everyone needs peace of mind, reassurance that their feelings are normal, and there are ways to get the help they need."

An honors graduate of Oakland University School of Nursing, Brandy received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University, specializing in family practice. She continued her education at Saginaw Valley State University to earn a certification in Psychiatric Mental Health.
