Excitement was in the air on October 1 as McKenzie Health System held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new Peace of Mind Clinic, which will offer much-needed behavioral health services to the community. The event was attended by members of the Sandusky City Council, members of the Chamber of Commerce Board, and hospital staff, all eager to show their support for the new clinic.

The Peace of Mind Clinic, led by Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Brandy Trepkowski, will provide behavioral health evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management. It’s a safe, welcoming place where patients can get personalized care from experts who truly care.

“We are so excited to bring this new service to our community,” said Billi Jo Hennika, Chief Operating Officer of McKenzie Health System. “The Peace of Mind Clinic will help more people get the behavioral health care they need. Today’s ribbon-cutting is just the beginning of a brighter future for health and wellness in Sanilac County.”

Members from the City Council and Chamber of Commerce praised the new clinic, saying it will play a key role in helping meet the growing behavioral health needs in the area.

To celebrate, McKenzie Health System will be hosting an open house at the Peace of Mind Clinic soon! Community members will get the chance to meet the clinic’s friendly staff, tour the facility, and learn about the services offered. Stay tuned for more details about the date and time of the event!
