Sanilac County, Mich. – With CVS Health's recent announcement to discontinue core infusion services at 29 regional pharmacies, including treatments for antibiotics, inotropic medications, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and other acute home infusion therapies, the McKenzie Infusion Center at the Hospital Campus is here to support patients in need of alternative infusion options.
With CVS no longer taking new patients as of October 8, 2024, McKenzie's Infusion Center provides a nearby and patient-friendly choice for those needing outpatient infusion services. Located at McKenzie Health System’s Hospital Campus, the Infusion Center is equipped to administer a wide variety of outpatient infusion therapies, including but not limited to antibiotic treatments, hydration therapy, and other specialty infusions, all in a comfortable, clinical setting. No home infusions are provided.
With a dedicated and compassionate team of experienced nurses and healthcare providers, patients can receive the necessary care without the stress of traveling far from home. “Changes like these can be difficult for patients and families,” said Rebecca Stoliker, Director of Nursing Services at McKenzie Health System. “We want to make sure people in our community know they have a trusted option for infusion care right here, without having to travel far.”
The change in CVS’s services is part of the company’s effort to reorganize due to recent financial challenges. McKenzie Health System's Infusion Center is prepared to help patients affected by these changes and to ensure they receive quality care at the Hospital Campus.
