McKenzie Auxiliary Donates $8,500 to Support Patient Care at McKenzie Health System

McKenzie Health System is pleased to announce a generous donation of $8,500 from the McKenzie Auxiliary, which will be used to enhance patient comfort and care at the hospital. The funds will be applied toward the purchase of vital new equipment, including one transfer chair and three recliner/lift chairs for the Medical/Surgical and Infusion Center departments.

The transfer chair, valued at $4,000, will aid in the safe and efficient movement of patients throughout the hospital. The recliner/lift chairs, totaling $4,500 for three units, will provide comfort and support for patients receiving treatment in the Medical/Surgical and Infusion Center areas, helping to improve their experience during extended stays or procedures.

“The McKenzie Auxiliary has a longstanding tradition of supporting the hospital, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to enhancing patient care,” said Steve Barnett, President and CEO of McKenzie Health System. “This donation will make a significant difference in the quality of care we can provide to our patients, and the equipment will easily transition into the new facility once it’s completed.”

The McKenzie Auxiliary has been an essential partner in supporting the hospital’s mission over the years, providing funds for equipment, scholarships, and patient services. Their latest contribution further demonstrates their dedication to the health and well-being of the local community.
