McKenzie Welcomes CMU Student Jack Fritzke
McKenzie Health System is pleased to announce Jack Fritzke, a medical student from Central Michigan University (CMU), will join Dr. Matthew Gormley at Croswell Clinic starting in early March as part of his education. Fritzke, originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Arizona State University. His collaboration with Dr. Gormley, who specializes in pediatrics and internal medicine, will involve providing medical care to patients across the Croswell-Lexington area and beyond. Alongside his medical pursuits, Fritzke enjoys sports, traveling, and music.
Steve Barnett, President and CEO of McKenzie Health System, expressed excitement about Fritzke's arrival, highlighting the organization's commitment to addressing rural medicine needs in Michigan. The collaboration serves as an opportunity to showcase the strength of McKenzie Health System while supporting the development of future medical professionals.
Fritzke's involvement is part of Central Michigan University's Comprehensive Community Clerkship program, offering a 20-week medical education experience in underserved rural and urban communities across Michigan. This program exposes students to various medical specialties, including primary care, pediatrics, women's health, emergency medicine, inpatient care, and surgical care.
