McKenzie Hosts Contractor Meeting for New Hospital Building Project

McKenzie Health System, in collaboration with the project stakeholders, recently convened a productive meeting with approximately 70 contractors to discuss the upcoming new hospital building project. The gathering, held at Woodland Hills in Sandusky, served as an opportunity for contractors to gain insight into the project details, ask questions, and understand the bidding process.

Representatives from McKenzie Health System; David E. Johnson Architect, who will also serve as the project manager, and The Christman Company, who will be serving as construction manager, were present at the meeting to provide comprehensive information about the project. As part of the opening presentation, attendees viewed the site plan, floor plan, and renderings, offering a clear visualization of the future hospital infrastructure.

Contractors coming from various parts of the state, including a significant number from the local area, participated in the event. The meeting provided them with a high-level overview of the project scope, timelines, and expectations for submitting bids. Additionally, contractors were briefed on the process following bid submission and the support available from the experienced construction management company overseeing the project.

The exact due date for bids is yet to be finalized; however, McKenzie Health System anticipates setting a deadline in mid-to-late April. Contractors interested in participating in the bidding process are encouraged to stay updated on announcements and forthcoming communications regarding bid submission guidelines.
