Sanilac County, Mich. – McKenzie Health System is proud to acknowledge the generous grant awarded by the Sanilac County Community Foundation, which helped enhance our CPR training program. A year ago, the foundation awarded funding for the purchase of state-of-the-art CPR manikins designed to improve the quality of training for both students and instructors.
The new manikins, compliant with the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, are equipped with advanced feedback devices that provide real-time data on compression depth, rate, and hands-off time. These features ensure that students are practicing CPR with the correct technique, reinforcing proper compression depth and rate through visual indicators and audible cues.
The addition of these manikins allows instructors to monitor several students simultaneously, improving training efficiency and ensuring each participant receives the feedback needed to confidently perform life-saving CPR in real-world situations. The technology also includes a Bluetooth®-enabled app that tracks student performance and allows for easy reporting and analysis.
McKenzie Health System is grateful for the Sanilac County Community Foundation’s support, which directly impacts our ability to provide quality CPR training, preparing our community to respond effectively in emergency situations.
