Sanilac County, Mich. – The McKenzie Foundation Heart & Hope Committee is proud to announce a $100,000 pledge to the new hospital building project, first made at the end of 2023 and reaffirmed through active fundraising efforts in 2024. This significant contribution will be recognized through the naming of the hospital’s outdoor patio and dining area, honoring the dedication and hard work of McKenzie Health System staff. Set to be a serene and welcoming space, this area will be enjoyed by both staff and visitors.
Since making this pledge, the Heart & Hope Committee has worked hard to reach their fundraising target, hosting various events and initiatives, including their recent Fall Spirit Week. With a national average of 20-25% employee donor participation among healthcare organizations, McKenzie Health System’s employees demonstrate an outstanding commitment, with participation rates between 75-80%.
This remarkable commitment reflects McKenzie Health System’s culture of giving and strong community values. The Heart & Hope Committee is honored to contribute to this important project, building a lasting tribute to the staff’s dedication while strengthening healthcare for the entire community.
