Michigan Acupuncture Clinics Offering Appointments in Sandusky

McKenzie Health System is excited to announce that Michigan Acupuncture Clinics will be offering a clinic in Sandusky at Sanilac Medical Plaza, Suite 4, which is located at 100 W. Argyle Street in Sandusky. This new service will be provided by Dr. Kent Wadsworth and, starting October 8, he will be seeing patients on Fridays at the Sanilac Medical Plaza clinic.

Dr. Wadsworth is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. After completing an undergraduate degree in exercise science, he went on to earn a Bachelors in Health Science and Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. While working in private practice and teaching, he earned his Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. Focused on general practice, he continues his education and training in various clinical specialties, including pain management, sports medicine, oncology, women’s health, fertility, neurology and mental health.

Acupuncture is a therapeutic component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Treatment involves the insertion and manipulation of hair-thin needles through the surface of the body to stimulate specific points. Dr. Wadsworth’s goal is to improve the health and wellness of his patients by providing evidence-based acupuncture and eastern medicine in western healthcare and integrative medicine.

Originally being from the Sandusky area, Dr. Wadsworth is looking forward to reconnecting with the community and providing a service that some patients have been hoping to have access to closer to home.
