Sandusky, MI – To improve clinical and operational capabilities and reduce radiation dose in CT imaging, McKenzie Health System (MHS) has upgraded its existing system with the VeloCT console from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. Clinicians should never have to sacrifice patient safety for image quality, and with Toshiba’s VeloCT, they don’t have to.
“The VeloCT console allows our facility to utilize the most advanced CT technologies without purchasing a brand new system,” explained Jay Smith, RT(R)(CT), CNMT, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, Diagnostic Imaging Manager at MHS. “With improvements in image quality and reduced radiation dose, these upgrades enable us to bring new and more advanced imaging studies to our patients.”
The VeloCT console includes dose reduction technology and dose management tools,
including Toshiba’s third-generation iterative dose reconstruction software, AIDR 3D, making exams safer for patients. In addition, the VeloCT console offers advanced hardware that produces faster exams, improving the clinical and operational capabilities.
“It is imperative that clinicians have the capacity to provide fast and accurate diagnoses while reducing radiation dose,” said Smith. “By upgrading our existing Toshiba CT systems, McKenzie Health System can provide the community with the industry’s best CT solutions, resulting in the best patient care available.”
