McKenzie Health System to Offer $55 Adult Heart Screenings

With a focus on building a healthier community and getting to the heart of the matter, McKenzie Health System, in partnership with Vascular Health Clinics, is offering a limited number of $55 adult heart screenings.

Vascular screenings can help detect blood vessel blockages or plaque buildup that creates risk for aneurysm, stroke, and other vascular diseases. The in-depth, noninvasive screenings are recommended for those who are age 55 and up, but are available to adults of all ages.

The vascular screening program is available until the end of April and includes ultrasounds of vessels in the neck, legs, and abdomen; a lipid profile; fasting blood sugar; blood pressure; and body weight. The screening will also give you the opportunity to discuss and review the test results with a vascular surgeon on May 2. The cost is just $55 and registrations are limited.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 810-648-6110. Patients will check-in at the registration desk in the Outpatient Lobby at McKenzie Health System, 120 Delaware Street in Sandusky for both the screenings and the appointment with the surgeon.

“We are making it easier for those in the community to get a clearer snapshot of their heart health, which makes a tremendous difference in their overall health and wellness,” said Steve Barnett, President, and CEO of McKenzie Health System. “Our goal is to simplify the process so more people can take advantage of an efficient and affordable heart screening.”
