McKenzie Health System Healthy Living Event on May 19 to Focus on Container Gardening

Sharing a perfect topic for spring, the “Healthy Living Together” virtual series will feature tips on Container Gardening with Sanilac County Master Gardener Merry Martin. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 19 from noon to 1 p.m.

The free webinar is live, with the chance to watch via Zoom or call in via phone, and it will also be recorded and shared on the McKenzie YouTube channel and Facebook page after the event. Participants will have the opportunity to type interactive questions and comments for the Q&A discussion.

“This workshop has been a local favorite for many years, and we are thrilled to bring back Merry, who always has wonderful gardening tips to share,” said Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System and Healthy Living Together Chair. “Whether you are brand-new to container gardening or looking to expand your repertoire, Merry will inspire you to find your green thumb.”

The Container Gardening webinar will focus on growing vegetables in containers, rather than planting them in the ground.

Community members can register for each free event at 810-648-6117 or www.McKenzieHealth.org/Healthy-Living-Together
