January Healthy Lifestyle “The Truth about Vaping” Rescheduled for March 4

The Healthy Lifestyle workshop focusing on “The Truth about Vaping” was originally scheduled for January, but had to be canceled due to the weather. The amount of interest in the topic prompted the committee to reschedule the event and the new date is March 4. The topic will be presented by Jamie Foster, Chief Operations Officer of A Chance to Change Drug and Alcohol Testing, LLC, which has locations in Sanilac, Huron, and Tuscola Counties. The workshop will take place on Monday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room, 120 Delaware Street, Sandusky. Pre-registration is required by calling Public Relations at 810-648-6117 or emailing publicrelations@mckenziehealth.org.

“Ms. Foster will be speaking on current vaping trends, how easily accessible e-cigarettes are for minors to obtain, and what is known about the dangers to the body,” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System and Healthy Lifestyle Committee Chairperson. “Audience members will gain valuable information from Foster. She is a proud team member of the Thumb Regional Sobriety Court and president of Families Against Narcotics. She has a personal experience with addiction; works tirelessly to help spread awareness and to help change the face of addiction, and to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
