At the April 27 workshop, Dr. Gormley will discuss important health markers that can help you know if your family’s health is where it should be. These markers include blood pressure, heart rate, and body fat percentage, among others. Keeping your eye on these markers can alert you to some health problems early enough to address them.
“It’s important for parents to keep an eye on markers such as these for their children too,” reports Louise Blasius, Healthy Lifestyle Chairperson. “If a child struggles with health issues such as obesity when he or she is young, it is likely that the struggles will continue as they grow older unless they make some lifestyle changes. Come and learn what you can do to make a difference for both you and your children! And, in addition to gaining valuable health information, all attendees will have the chance to win a great door prize!”
For more information and to register for the April 27, 2015, Healthy Lifestyle Workshop, call Nina Barnett at McKenzie Health System, 810-648-6127.
