About
Khristine Kirkbride, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT), is an integral part of the McKenzie Rehabilitation team, providing comprehensive physical therapy care with specialized expertise in orthopedic manual therapy to enhance patients' movement, functionality, and pain relief.
A Sandusky native and 2011 graduate of Sandusky High School, Khristine’s journey into physical therapy was sparked by a high school shadowing project at McKenzie Rehabilitation, where a last-minute change in plans led her to discover her passion for the field. That pivotal experience, under the guidance of Jenny Long, solidified her dedication to helping others achieve their health and movement goals.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University, Khristine completed a two-year post-doctoral certification in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. With additional niche expertise in treating conditions like jaw pain and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, she brings hands-on skills to help patients regain mobility, strength, and quality of life. Her approach emphasizes individualized, patient-centered care that considers each person’s unique needs and lifestyle goals.
Before joining McKenzie, Khristine gained valuable experience at a Lansing-based clinic, where she advanced from staff therapist to supervisor, honing her clinical and leadership skills. She continues to stay connected to the academic community by assisting in labs at Oakland University, supporting and inspiring future physical therapists.
Outside of her professional life, Khristine is an avid sports enthusiast, runner, and outdoor lover. She enjoys hunting, attending sports events, and spending quality time with her family. Khristine is thrilled to return to her hometown and is deeply committed to providing compassionate and specialized rehabilitation care to patients in her community.
