At the April 15 workshop, Ms. Eugster, McKenzie Health System Nurse Practitioner, will talk about two common ingredients, salt and sugar, that can sabotage our efforts to have healthy diets. Consuming too much salt and sugar can affect us in a variety of ways, from causing unwanted weight gain and high blood pressure, to making a person more susceptible to developing diabetes. “All of us want to live long, healthy lives,” declares Louise Blasius, McKenzie Health System Worker. “Come and learn a few things you can do to improve your diet, which can help you live and enjoy such a life!”
“This workshop will provide valuable information in a relaxed, personal atmosphere,” reports Blasius. “In addition, attendees will have a delicious, healthy meal. What a great way to spend a lunch time!”
“Due to limited seating, pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett from McKenzie Healthy System, at 810-648-6127,” emphasizes Blasius. “We encourage people to reserve their space as soon as possible as this class is sure to fill up fast! We hope to see you there!”
