Job summary:

A highly skilled Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in supporting and maintaining the local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and Windows Active Directory infrastructure within our medical health system. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and optimal performance of our network systems, as well as providing technical support in a team environment. Your role will be critical in maintaining the seamless operation of our healthcare network, ensuring data integrity, and delivering exceptional IT services to support patient care.

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
2. Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
3. Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.
4. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in configuring and supporting LAN/WAN networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
5. Strong expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory, including user administration, group policies, and security.
6. Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and HITRUST, is a plus.
7. Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
8. Understanding of network security principles, including firewall configurations, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control lists.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues and provide effective solutions.
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users.
11. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
