IT Support Analyst (FT)
POSITION POSTING:
Title: Information Technician Support Analyst
Department: Information Technology
Status: Full Time – 40 Hours per week
Hours: Primarily Day Shift. Hours may be adjusted in response to workload demands. Low census may be utilized in accordance with hospital policy.
Qualifications/Position Requirements:
- High School graduate with 2+ years of experience in Computer Information Systems, preferred.
- Two (2) years previous experience working in a help desk environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Window Computing devices and IOS mobile devices.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge of Cloud computing and Virtualization, preferred.
- Specific experience with modems, routers, hubs, switches, PBX systems, internet, wiring, wireless technology, access points and networking.
- Must have a specialist knowledge of technical applications and a good understanding of operating systems, computers, and applications software.
- Experience in implementation of new business applications, analyze the requirements of end users, and then test and integrate applications.
- The ability to perform daily duties in regards to the applications that the organization uses.
- Experience with the processes involved in planned application system upgrades, installation of new releases, and migration to new systems.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of current trends and changes in health care, information technology, and HIPAA security/privacy regulations.
- Demonstrates ability to establish good working relationships and effective communication with providers, clinic and hospital personnel.
- Ability to communicate in the English language; Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions and procedures.
- Possesses knowledge of/or ability to learn to use various office equipment, software, printers, adding machines, copiers, etc.
- Demonstrates knowledge of electronics and hardware wiring.
- Demonstrates knowledge of computing concepts/networking, PC’s and peripherals.
- Ability to maintain concentration despite interruptions; Capable of functioning under stressful situations.
- Demonstrates the analytical, design, programming, implementation, and communication skills necessary to work with individuals at all levels.
- Good sight and hearing skills required to handle inquiries.
Job summary:
Provides applications and software maintenance and support to the organization's employees in order to minimize service disruption and facility operations. Responsible for the administration, monitoring and maintenance of software infrastructures and applications. Provides technical assistance and support for the incoming helpdesk issues related to computer systems, software and hardware. Conducts analytical work providing consultation, support, and/or training to end-users of computer or other technology-based systems. May provide technical support of hardware, applications, operating systems, and networking. This function requires a broad understanding of a variety of technologies to effectively support end-users. The IT Support Analyst is not usually involved in application development or network design but may participate in system integration and network analysis activities. This work requires strong communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with a broad range of end-users and an ability to use a variety of technical resources for providing this support. The IT Support Analyst may provide routine and non-routine support for a wide range of technologies or may provide in-depth support for a more narrowly defined area of technology. Provides IT after-hour support 24/7 to Hospital operations per Information Technology Department on-call schedule or as required. These employees may be responsible for oversight of programs or projects.
