“We all know that too much sugar can cause weight gain and tooth decay, but did you know that it can make you sluggish and tired too? That’s because sugar affects all systems of the body, even your brain and heart,” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Community and Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “February’s Lunch and Learn workshop will provide valuable information in a relaxed, personal atmosphere. This month’s topic focuses on the effects of sugar on a person’s wellbeing, and what you can do to keep your body in tip top shape. As always, questions will be welcome. Plus, attendees will be able to enjoy a delicious, healthy meal! What’s not to love about that?”
Blasius continues, “remember, because our dining room has limited seating, pre-registrations are required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org. We encourage people to reserve their space as soon as possible. We hope to see you there!”
