The workshop will be presented by Dr. Alfredo Domingo, Orthopedic Surgeon, McKenzie Health System. Cost to attend is $5, which includes lunch. “Many of us have experienced joint creaking, stiffness and pain as we age, especially in our knees and hips, but when should we start thinking about replacing those joints?” asks Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Community and Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “At this month’s Lunch and Learn workshop, Dr. Domingo will explain more about the ins and outs of joint replacement surgery, such as the reasons for doing it, what the surgery entails, risks involved, and what to do during the recovery process to help assure a return to an active lifestyle.”
“As always, the workshop will provide useful information in a relaxed, personal atmosphere, and questions will be welcomed,” reports Blasius. “In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy a delicious, healthy meal. We hope you’ll join us to learn more about joint replacement!” For more information about the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127.
