15th Annual McKenzie Golf Scramble To Be Held on June 10

The McKenzie Health System Auxiliary has been preparing for the 15th Annual McKenzie Golf Scramble which will take place on June 10 at Woodland Hills Golf Course in Sandusky. This will be the fourth year for the Golf Ball Drop: Bender Builders will drop golf balls from a Skytrak right before the event’s shotgun start – the first ball in the hole or the ball closest to the hole will win $1,000! Ticket holders do not need to be golfers to come and watch the fun.

Four-person teams will enjoy 18 holes of golf and have opportunities to join in other “contests” along the way, including a “hole in one” contest, sponsored by Graff Chevrolet Buick in Sandusky, with the potential to win a brand new vehicle. There will also be a delicious dinner at the end of the event and lunch will be available by donation. This year’s event will also include a “Golfapalooza” sponsored by Kohler Propane!

McKenzie Health System Auxiliary, through team registration fees and sponsorships, is raising funds to go toward the cost of the 3D Mammography machine which has brought a much needed service to our community. All proceeds from the annual Golf Scramble and other fundraising efforts are donated to McKenzie Health System.

“We are looking forward to our 15th golf scramble,” said Rebecca Cambridge, McKenzie Auxiliary President. “We were so disappointed to have to cancel last year’s event and are excited to see everyone in a few weeks! The cost of the 3D mammography technology is almost completely covered and we are hoping to drive it home with this event! We truly appreciate everyone who supports this event with their time, sponsorships and participation.”

Team registrations and sponsorships, ranging from $50 to $2,000, are available through May 28. Check-in for the scramble is at 9:00 a.m. with the golf ball drop taking place at 9:45 a.m. and a shot-gun start at 10:00 a.m. Woodland Hills Golf Course is located at 320 N. Gates Road. Registration fee includes dinner after the scramble. Food will be available throughout the event for a donation.
