McKenzie Health System (MHS) will again be providing sports physicals for several school districts in Sanilac County this June. These physicals will take place on the following dates and times:
- Peck Schools (at Peck Medical Clinic) on June 6, 3-5 p.m.
- Sandusky Schools (at Sandusky High School) on June 7, 1-3 p.m.
- Carsonville-Pt. Sanilac Schools (at CPS High School) on June 8, 1-3 p.m.
- Croswell-Lexington Schools (at Cros-Lex High School) on June 13 and 14, 3-5 p.m.
There is a $15 charge for the physical, which includes a height, weight, blood pressure check and basic exam. Contact the individual schools’ offices for more information about these sports physicals.
“In addition, we are encouraging parents to take advantage of a more thorough physical exam for their child which is available at a time convenient for them at one of the MHS Family Healthcare Clinics. This exam includes lab work; a heart and respiratory check; health education; a full physical exam including an assessment for risk behavior, safety and health issues; treatment for current health problems, assessment for maturity and development, and immunizations as needed,” shares Deborah Ruggles, Director of Healthcare Practices at McKenzie Health System. “These exams are often covered by health plans, and are an excellent way to keep your child healthy and safe as they move through high school.
