With the holidays just around the corner, November’s Healthy Lifestyle will feature Gail Innis, MSU Extension Educator, focusing on “Mindfulness” for its last workshop of 2016.  The workshop will take place on Monday, November 21, at 5:30 p.m. in the Dining Room of McKenzie Health System, 120 Delaware Street. Space is limited so pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett, McKenzie Health System, 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“Holidays can overwhelm and exhaust us,” shares Innis.  “Come and learn how to reduce stress this holiday season by concentrating on being instead of doing.  At this workshop, we will introduce mindfulness concepts, share research on why mindfulness works, discuss holiday stress and where mindfulness can help, teach and practice basic mindfulness skills, and provide resources for home use.”

“Please join us for this stress relieving FREE workshop on Monday, November 21 at McKenzie Health System, 120 Delaware Street in Sandusky,” invites Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Community and Human Services at McKenzie Health System and Healthy Lifestyle Committee Chairperson. “This will be our last workshop for 2016 and a great way to kick off the holiday season!  Expect to leave relaxed and refreshed!”  The 2017 brochure, which includes the list of next year’s topics, will be available at the event. For more information about the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127.
