The next regular meeting of the Alzheimer’s Support Group is Friday, August 7, at 1PM.
Due to the Alzheimer’s Association guidance, WE STILL CANNOT MEET IN PERSON / FACE-TO-FACE BECAUSE OF THE CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC.
The good news is the support group can all talk together over the phone and share as we usually do! On Friday, August 7th, caregivers can simply dial 810-648-6200. One may call on a land line or cell phone. When prompted, enter the code 7455875. I’ll be there waiting to say “HELLO”!
If a caregiver has any questions about this process or wishes to speak to the Social Worker sooner, just call her at work 810-648-6181. The Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 HELPLINE is also there – just call:1-800-272-3900.
We had planned an educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association staff for August 7. However, it can only be presented virtually, on a program such as ZOOM. A quick poll of some revealed our members do not have virtual meeting capability. Therefore, our training is now postponed until December 4th. Hopefully, then we can meet in person. If not, we will make another plan.
My best to you always, Louise, Support Group Facilitator
