Sanilac County Community Foundation 25K for 25 Challenge
Nonprofits from around the county can sign up to participate and use our online fundraising software. They will fundraise for THEIR organization for the entirety of our “birthday” month, May 1 – 31, 2019. At midnight on the 31st fundraising will stop and the 3 organizations who have raised the most funds will be given the opportunity to give a 3-minute presentation at the Anniversary Celebration. This is where it gets interesting…
Every person in attendance at the Anniversary Celebration will then be given the ability to vote on which one of the 3 organizations will be given a $25,000 permanent endowment at the Foundation.
During the month of May, your support goes even further when you make a gift to the McKenzie Health System Foundation #BeALifesaver challenge.
The McKenzie Health System Foundation is raising funds to:
Bring 3D Mammography to our community
Why? If better detection is available, shouldn’t we pursue it? 3D Mammography provides more accurate detection, earlier diagnosis, better detection in dense breast tissue, and less anxiety.
Restore the Ambulance Fleet to full force
Why? When emergencies happen, time is critical. With our county having the largest amount of land mass in the Lower Peninsula, we need to have a reliable ambulance fleet ready to respond to those emergencies.
How can you help?

- Call with questions or to give: (810) 648-6127
- Share with family and friends – post it on Facebook, email the link, shout it from the rooftop! (ok, maybe don’t go up on the roof, but you can shout it from your front porch!). You might want to even tell a story about why this is important to you. Have you or a loved one needed an ambulance? Has breast cancer touched someone in your life? If you answered no to either one of those, count your blessings and still spread the word!
