12th Annual McKenzie Golf Scramble on June 8 Features New Golf Ball Drop

Get ready to swing, scramble and support McKenzie Health System during the 12th Annual McKenzie Golf Scramble on June 8 at Woodland Hills Golf Course. New this year is a special Golf Ball Drop: TNT Equipment and Tri County Equipment will drop golf balls from a tractor bucket right before the event’s shotgun start – the first ball in the hole or the ball closest to the hole will win up to $1,000, based on ticket sales.

This year, four-person teams will play to support the McKenzie Health System Auxiliary, which hopes to raise $18,000 to purchase a Stryker Ambulance Power Cot. The innovative cot assists in loading and unloading patients at the touch of a button, increasing safety and efficiency for emergency medical teams while bringing the hospital in compliance with new state requirements. All proceeds from the annual Golf Scramble and other fundraising efforts are donated to McKenzie Health System.

“As we continue our work in the community, we are proud of such a wonderful event that combines fun, exercise, costumes and prizes with dedication and a chance to truly support our Auxiliary,” said Merrily Loding, McKenzie Auxiliary President. “We genuinely appreciate everyone who contributes to this growing event with their time, sponsorships and participation.”

The best ‘60s themed team will win a special prize. During last year’s scramble, 34 teams joined in on the fun and raised $11,422. Sponsorships, ranging from $50 to $1,500, are available through June 1. Check-in for the scramble is at 9 a.m. with a shot-gun start at 10 a.m. Woodland Hills Golf Course is located at 320 N. Gates Rd. Registration fee includes a boxed lunch and dinner after the scramble.
